The ED560 is a compact mechanical seal compared with a normal tandem seal, using two EA560 mechanical seals. The ED560 components are not subject to abrasive wear since the configuration prevents fluids with suspended solids from coming in contact with the spring side. The ED560 also enhances heat and abrasion resistance by using a silicon carbide seal face on the impeller side. |
